The Mint National Bank is a small bank that was just established last January. Its office is located at 1213 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, Texas which is about 20 miles north of Houston. A branch visit appears to be required to open an account. If you plan to drive a long distance, a call would be advisable to ensure they don't have any local limitations on new accounts.
Since it's new, the bank is labeled as a start-up at both BauerFinancial and Bankrate without any ratings for safety and soundness. The bank has been a FDIC member since January 5, 2009 (FDIC Certificate # 58764).
