4.00% 9-Month CD, 4.10% 15-Month CD and Other CD Specials at Crescent Bank & Trust in Louisiana read and submit comments for this post

Crescent Bank & Trust continues to offer some attractive CD specials. They're down from my November post, but they're still very competitive. The APY's include 4% for 9 months, 4.10% for 15 months, 4.15% for 25 months, 4.20% for 37 months and 4.75% for 44 months. Minimum deposit is $5,000. These rates are listed in the bank's rate table as of 1/07/09. I just called the bank, and I was told that these rates are still available. The banking rep didn't know how much longer they may last.

A branch visit is required to open accounts. Branches are located in New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana.

The bank's financial ratings for soundness show some strength: 4 stars (sound) at Bankrate.com and 3.5 stars (good) at BauerFinancial. Both are based on 9/30/08 data. This is one of the rare times that Bankrate has a higher rating than BauerFinancial.

The bank has been FDIC insured since 1991 (FDIC Certificate # 33492).
